Winner Tourism Malaysia Award
In a glittering ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur at the Shangri-La Hotel on Friday 19 August Venture Holidays SA/NT, operators of Holiday Connect, were presented with Tourism Malaysia's 'Best Foreign Tour Operator - Australia' 2004 award.
The prestigious award took into consideration the number of tourists sent to Malaysia, reliability of services offered, contribution towards promoting Malaysia and involvement in active selling and promoting tour packages to Malaysia.
Product Manager for Malaysia, Graham Lang said 'it is a wonderful achievement for a local company to be recognised in such a competitive environment and a tribute to all staff involved in promoting a popular destination that offers so much for holidaymakers.'
Other awards presented on the night included Best Restaurant, Excellence in Hotel Service & Best Tourist Attractions.

Holiday Connect appoints Victoria Sales Manager
Holiday Connect® has appointed Anita Power of Power Travel Consulting Pty Ltd as it's representative in Victoria.
Mrs Power was most recently Operations Manager for the Singapore Tourism Board representative office in Victoria. Mrs Power has over 20 years travel industry experience in international wholesale and has enjoyed a long association with Venture Holidays (SA/NT).

Holiday Connect uses VNet® for agent access
Holiday Connect® uses VNet® for travel agents exclusive online access to Holiday Connect® flexible in-house reservations system.
With VNet®, agents are able to instantly calculate land only or package quotes ex Australia and amend or save as a new version. Agents are also able to request bookings, view outstanding balances, specific hotel facilities, tour itineraries and even view the status on Holiday Connect® generated quotes or bookings. VNet® has been designed with drop down menus and on screen hints for simplicity. The testing process included people with no industry experience who successfully completed quotes with no training. It is a great tool for simple single destination quotes and bookings that make up the majority of our business.
